Shortgrass Library System Services in County of Newell and other Municipalities within its' Boundaries.

Residents who reside in the Shortgrass member municipalities of the City of Brooks and Town of Bassano, the Village of Rosemary, and the County of Newell (Divisions 1-10) are "Residents" of the Shortgrass Library System. They are entitled to access Shortgrass Library System services at any of the member libraries for no additional costs beyond their local library membership fee. Member Shortgrass libraries in the Newell area are Brooks Public Library, Bassano Memorial Library, Alcoma Community Library in Rainier, Rolling Hills Public Library, Rosemary Community Library, and Tilley Public Library. Other member Shortgrass libraries are Bow Island Municipal Library, Foremost Municipal Library, Graham Community Library in Ralston, Medicine Hat Public Library, and the Redcliff Public Library. Residents who reside in the Shortgrass non-member Duchess municipality, are "Non-Residents" of the Shortgrass Library System. They may purchase a non resident membership at a Shortgrass member library which will provide a limited set of the Shortgrass services. The yearly fees for non resident memberships are $60 for individuals and $80 for families.
