We joined the Shortgrass Library System at the end of 2005. We are now preparing to commence circulation services and issue patron cards at our library.

Some services are already available for our library patrons who reside in Tilley or within Division 2 of the County of Newell.

If you already have a non resident membership, you can visit other Shortgrass member libraries to ensure that you can access the online databases or get a TAL Library Card. You need to ensure that you have a PIN associated with your library barcode to use the online databases.

If you do not have a Shortgrass library card yet, you can come to the Tilley Public Library now (end of August 2006). You can also go to the Brooks Public Library, or other Shortgrass member libraries to obtain a card. You will need to pay the regular membership card fees at the library.

We hare our own Tilley Public Library patron cards now, and we can provide one of these to you in now (end of August 2006).

You can access the Shortgrass library collection through the Online Catalogue, place hold requests, and renew items. Soon you will be able to use Tilley as a hold pickup location -- but first we need to start online circulation. Please continue to us either Brooks or Ralston libraries as your hold pickup locations until then. The Online Catalogue is listed at the top of the left menu bar.
